Deep reflection about mine.

Hello friends, so on Saturday, I celebrated my birthday. Oh boy,it was lit.

I didn't have the cake and ice cream like I did the year before. In fact, I ended up vomiting the pepper soup my friend bought for me, I promised her that I won’t.

So, what’s the big deal about birthdays? Well, other than the fact that I didn’t do photoshoot and was dealing with birthday anxiety, birthdays are reminders of the fact that you are special, valued and loved. Now, if you can’t stand adults that make a big deal about their birthdays, you are on your own as I am still in a celebratory mood.

Lord, teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

Psalm 90:12

A few reflections about my life:

I am a product of mentoring and grace. From days of being mentored by Dixon and Ricks on employability skills, to days of SprinNG Fellowship, for writing lessons, to Digify Pro cohort, and now The Comms Avenue Mentorship programme.

What do I like about my life?

My career. Like “we would say in the local palace if e easy do am.”

I have transitioned from everything and anything in Communications sector. While that may make me sound like I have no idea of what I am doing, which by the way no one does, it has also helped me gain insight into every aspect I am interested in knowing. From copywriting to content and social media writing to internal communications, to journalism and now public relations. I owe it to myself to find out what is next.

My family.

My family are sweet like sugar, and that’s the beauty. They make for a good cushion every time I fall, which is always oh.

God.

This is like my number 1. It is okay to admit that you are a faith-based professional, it doesn’t make you unserious. It is the assurance that God dey for you.

What are some things I want to do differently this year?

One of my self-development goals is to learn how to drive. I have started, so just in case you see me along Ikorodu road, please send a wave.

This year, I hope to be more intentional about my friendships, and my relationship with others. This has caused me to lose out on building dreams with some. To those who still love my wahala, well then.

Make health my number one priority. I am known for drinking my litres of water and minding my business, I promise to continue to do so.

Focus on what I am passionate about. Besides working and making money, I am passionate about providing resources and opportunities to young girls and women like me who had no one to shine a touch on our direction.

This year, I just want to be pampered while working on my ambitions to be one of the leading communications professionals in Africa with global relevance.

That Ijebu girl to the world.

What are some things that I want to be different by next year?

I have started taking down suitable suitors’ applications.

Think bigger. Your dominant vision becomes your overall outcome. I hope to leverage the platforms and network, I have been provided with this year to launch out, in relation to my career.

Start exercising. Maybe in my dream, but it is the thought that counts shey?

Cultivate a bad habit. Still thinking up what it can be. I hate sweet things.

How would I rate my life in the realms of career, finances, health, relationships, growth, fun, and lifestyle?

Na God and Premium Vibes oh.

See you in my next birthday journal.
